From June 2019-Dec 2020 I worked remotely as a Product Designer for SkyVerge, a SaaS eCommerce company specializing in WooCommerce plugins. I drove company UI/UX design as the lead designer on Jilt, an email marketing platform used by 800+ eCommerce stores. SkyVerge was acquired by GoDaddy in September 2020.
During my time at SkyVerge, I designed and shipped 60+ new features, user experiences, and full-page interface updates utilizing the newly implemented Kodiak design system, which I ideated and developed using Figma. Extensive user research via interviews, prototype testing, and data analysis was used to inform every UI/UX decision.
“Hundreds of thousands of eCommerce merchants use our software to increase sales, spend less time on management, and more time on what they love.”
– SkyVerge
Automations
A feature that allows users to send abandoned cart emails to customers. A UI overhaul was done to implement the new Kodiak styling, while the UX was re-imagined to accommodate an upgraded email editing experience.
Broadcast Templates
Broadcasts is a feature that allows users to send newsletters and promotional emails to customers. An email template addition was introduced to allow users to save custom templates or select from a wide variety of pre-made templates to make their email creation process more delightful and efficient.
Order Receipts
This feature allows users to send receipt emails to their customers to keep them informed about their purchases, in addition to shipping confirmations, order cancellation notices, and more. The UI/UX for this area was extremely outdated and difficult to use, requiring a full overhaul of both.
Additional improvements
A selection of other UI/UX improvements shipped within Jilt and WordPress.
